Texo Trade Services expands portfolio and premises

Texo Trade Services (TTS) has added a new protection paper to its portfolio and expanded its premises.
The Dutch print media and textiles manufacturer and distributor said its new 25gsm PPX protection paper is the best type of paper for protecting a calendar belt from ink contamination.
The low weight of the paper means a roll of PPX is extra-long, which results in fewer roll changes, while TTS carefully controls the humidity in its production environment, ensuring that PPX rolls are free of wrinkles.
PPX is available in widths ranging from 100mm to 5.04m and roll diameters of between 200mm and 600mm, as well as all sizes in between. TTS said the product has “an outstanding price/performance ratio”.
The product is stocked by TTS throughout Europe, and in its warehouses in the UK and Italy. The company also ships rolls worldwide from its main warehouse in the Netherlands.
Earlier this year, the business also launched MuroSubli Soft Touch Cosy, a PVC-free textiles wallpaper for sublimation printing aimed at the higher-end market segment.
Available in a wide range of colours, the partially handmade 1.35m-wide material has “a very matt finish” and is said to bring a luxurious appearance to offices, homes, shops, and trade show stands.
The business followed this last month with the launch of PVC-free photo wallpaper MuroSubli UVTex, which is printed on a single sheet and can therefore be used to seamlessly cover large walls.
Separately, TTS is adding a 700sqm production hall to its premises in Moordrecht, the Netherlands, while a further 700sqm in the existing warehouse will be freed up for storage. The company said the expansion would enable it to move its paper processing operations to Moordrecht.
The company said its premises already comprise 1,000sqm of office and showroom space and 5,000sqm of warehouse space, and that the new production hall will house the paper winding/converting operations.
It added an in-house paper processing capacity for sublimation and calendar protection paper up to 3.3m wide “will provide customers with a range of tangible benefits”.
TTS director Floris-Jan van den Heuvel told Printweek: “For our customers reliable availability of our products and quick delivery from stock is one of the most important reasons to work with TTS, beside good stable quality products and competitive prices.
“With in-house converting TTS can offer customers flexibility and competitive pricing. Extra warehouse capacity is needed to ensure our customers that stock is always available in times where supply chains are disrupted and demand is very difficult to forecast for our customers.”
Like the rest of the company’s premises, TTS said its production hall is completely energy-neutral, with 300 additional solar panels being fitted to the structure. The new building is expected to be fully operational by the end of July.
