Time:2022-11-02 From:
The Overall Situation of Import and Export
From January to September 2022, China's total import and export of printing equipment and materials was 5.477 billion US dollars, an increase of 6.2% compared with 5.159 billion US dollars from January to September 2021. Among them, from January to September 2022, China's imports of printing equipment and equipment were US$1.830 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 22.2%; exports were US$3.647 billion, a year-on-year increase of 29.9%; the trade surplus was US$1.817 billion, a year-on-year increase of 299.9%.
Import Situation Analysis
From January to September 2022, China's imports of printing equipment and equipment were US$1.830 billion, a decrease of 22.2% compared with US$2.352 billion from January to September 2021, and the decline continued to expand. Figure 2 shows the growth rate of imports of printing equipment and equipment in China. Since 2022, China's import demand has shown a large downward pressure. Possible reasons include weak domestic demand, increased fluctuations in raw material prices, and increased domestic substitution of some raw materials under the epidemic and geopolitical conflicts.
From the perspective of the composition of imports, from January to September 2022, China's printing equipment imports were 1.552 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 23.4%, accounting for 84.8% of China's total imports of printing equipment and equipment, and it is the main import of China's printing equipment and equipment. Some; printing equipment imports were US$2.77, a year-on-year decrease of 14.5%, accounting for 15.2%.
Printing equipment is divided into three categories: pre-press equipment, printing equipment, and post-press equipment. Among them, from January to September 2022, the import of printing equipment accounted for the largest share of China's total imports of printing equipment, accounting for 89.5%; followed by post-press equipment , accounting for 8.6%; the last is prepress equipment, accounting for 1.9%.
Judging from the growth of imports, from January to September 2022, the decline in imports of various printing equipment in China has reached double digits. Among them, the imports of printing equipment, which accounted for the largest proportion, fell by 20.3% year-on-year from January to September 2022, and the decline has continued to decline since 2022.
Printing materials are divided into printing inks, offset printing plates, flexo printing plates, and embossing foils. Among them, from January to September 2022, the import of printing inks accounted for the largest proportion of China's total imports of printing equipment, accounting for 74.4%; Followed by embossed foil, accounting for 15.0%; flexo printing plate and offset printing plate imports accounted for 9.3% and 1.4% respectively.
From the perspective of import volume growth, from January to September 2022, China's import market of various printing materials performed poorly. Among them, China's printing ink import volume fell by 9.4% year-on-year.
Export Situation Analysis
From January to September 2022, the export value of China's printing equipment and equipment was 3.647 billion US dollars, an increase of 29.9% compared with the 2.807 billion US dollars from January to September 2021, achieving continuous growth. Figure 23 shows the growth rate of China's printing equipment and material exports. From February to April 2022, there will be multiple sporadic or local large-scale outbreaks in China, which will significantly affect the supply chain of the industrial and supply chains of domestic export companies, and will drag down the export market from March to April. With the improvement of the epidemic situation, the concentrated delivery of the backlog of orders in the early stage has led to an unexpected rebound in exports from May to July, and the growth rate of China's export market has picked up.
From the perspective of export volume, from January to September 2022, China's printing equipment export volume was 2,869.94 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 23.5%, accounting for 78.7% of China's total export of printing equipment and equipment, and it is the main export of China's printing equipment and equipment. Part; the export value of printing equipment was 777.11 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 61.0%, accounting for 21.3%, as shown in Figure 24.
For a long time, printing equipment and post-press equipment have been the main exporters of printing equipment in China. From January to September 2022, the export volume accounted for 52.7% and 42.7% of the total export volume of printing equipment, while the export volume of pre-press equipment accounted for only 4.6%.
From the perspective of export growth, China's printing material exports increased by 33.7% year-on-year from January to September 2022.
Among the exports of various printing materials in China from January to September 2022, offset printing plates occupy an absolute advantage, accounting for 79.0%; followed by printing inks, accounting for 15.5%; embossing foils and flexo printing plates accounted for 3.2% and 2.4%, respectively.
Overall, from January to September 2022, the growth rate of China's printing equipment and material import and export market turned from negative to positive. Among them, the import market continued to be sluggish, showing that the demand in China's printing market is insufficient and the production and operation of enterprises are sluggish; while the export market has achieved steady growth. The growth reflects the advantages of China's printing equipment and equipment industry clusters, the resilience of the industrial chain and supply chain, and the substantial improvement in core competitiveness and international competitiveness.
